Beach Recycling 2014 Now Complete

This years beach recycling work was brought forward to start on the 17th February due to the very low beach levels and urgent need to start the works. Extraction of shingle has taken place from Gunner Point, the Inn On The Beach revetment and the Coastguard revetment, to be placed along the Eastoke frontage.

The works were completed on schedule on Friday 14th March. During the works period we have recycled over 30,000m3 back to the Eastoke frontage. Further minor works will be carried out over the next few weeks to attend to areas of storm damage along Hayling Island frontage that have occurred during the winter period.
